Parents & students

What to expect

The Educational Resource Street Fair helps parents, grandparents, caregivers and extended family members prepare their children for school.

Students can register for ERSF online or on-site. After registration, a passport is issued on-site to each student. The passport allows the student to receive information and stamps from various booths; after receiving five passport stamps the student can pick up books, backpacks, rain jackets and school supplies (while they last). Students also have an opportunity to register early and submit an essay in the writing contest to win a laptop computer.

The street fair convenes community partners for three days filled with people, food, music, culture, tools and information about resources available in the community. Everyone participating in ERSF is engaged in building a healthy community that thrives and supports children, youth and families.

Register for the fair

To earn free school supplies students must be registered for the fair. Please bring your student ID and, if you registered online, confirmation number to the registration booth on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up your student passport. Express lines will be open for those who have registered online. At this time online registration has ended. You may still register in-person the day of the fair.

This year students grades 1–12 had an opportunity to enter the first annual Educational Resource Street Fair writing contest.
