Peoples Institutional Baptist Church, a 501(c)(3) organization, is located in the central area of Seattle, WA. In 2002, PIBC started the Educational Resource Street Fair as a social justice outreach program. Today, ERSF has grown into a highly successful public/private community social network raising awareness and advocating for the needs of under-served children, youth and families from low-wage households.
The ERSF achieves its mission by connecting people to people, programs, organizations and resources that help families move out of poverty. Last year ERSF helped parents prepare 1,800 students to return to school with the tools they need to be successful: computers, books, backpacks, school supplies, tutors, mentors and much more.
To earn free school supplies students must be present and registered for the fair. Please bring your student ID to the registration booth on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up your student passport.

Foundation for Early Learning and many of its partner organizations participated in the 2009 and 2010 Educational Resource Street Fair, hosting the early learning section of the Fair and providing early learning tools, resources, and services to families and children birth to five. Early learning partners benefited greatly from the experience. The Fair provided an opportunity to conduct outreach and connect with many families. Participants learned about where to find low cost and free preschool and dental care, how to sign up for library cards and access other library services, get involved in local advocacy efforts, connect with kinship care providers, and easy, simple ways to prepare children for kindergarten.
